ITINERARY

Overview

This itinerary takes you through the heart of India’s tribal culture and untouched natural beauty. You will witness the widest waterfall in India, explore ancient limestone caves, and experience the unique crafts and traditions of the local tribes.

*Day 1: The Niagara of India (Jagdalpur)*
Morning: Arrive in Jagdalpur (via Raipur or Vizag). Head straight to the magnificent Chitrakote Falls, the widest waterfall in India, especially breathtaking just after the monsoon.
Afternoon: Visit the Anthropological Museum in Jagdalpur to get an overview of the local tribal history and lifestyle.
Evening: Relax by the falls or visit the Danteshwari Temple, one of the 52 Shakti Peethas.
Night: Overnight stay in Jagdalpur or a riverside resort near the falls.

Morning: Explore Kanger Valley National Park. Visit the Kutumsar Caves, famous for their unique stalactite and stalagmite formations (closed during monsoon).
Afternoon: Visit Tirathgarh Falls, a stunning "milky" waterfall where the water cascades down in multiple steps.
Evening: Visit a local Haat (Tribal Market) if it's a market day to see traditional barter systems and buy authentic Bastar Art (Dhokra metal craft).
Night: Overnight stay in Jagdalpur.

Morning: Visit the Bastar Palace to see the historical seat of the local kingdom.
Afternoon: Stop at the Kondagaon craft village on your way back to see artisans at work with terracotta and bell metal.
Evening: Drive back to Raipur. Transfer to Swami Vivekananda Airport or the railway station for your departure.
Travel Tip: Chhattisgarh is best explored between October and March when the weather is pleasant and the waterfalls are in full bloom.
