ITINERARY

Overview

This itinerary showcases the architectural brilliance of the Pallava dynasty and the unique blend of French and Dravidian cultures. You will experience UNESCO World Heritage stone carvings, serene beaches, and spiritual landmarks.

Morning: Arrive in Chennai. Visit the Kapaleeshwarar Temple to see classic Dravidian architecture and take a quick drive past Marina Beach.
Afternoon: Drive to Mahabalipuram (1.5 hours). Explore the UNESCO sites: Shore Temple, Pancha Rathas (Five Rathas), and Arjuna's Penance.
Evening: Visit Krishna’s Butter Ball, a massive natural boulder balanced on a hill.
Night: Overnight stay in Mahabalipuram.

Morning: Drive to Pondicherry (2 hours). Visit Auroville and the Matrimandir (viewing point) for a peaceful start.
