Tripura is a hidden gem in Northeast India, known for its grand palaces, ancient rock-cut sculptures, and deep-rooted tribal culture. This itinerary blends the royal history of the Manikya dynasty with the mystical spiritual sites hidden in the hills.

Morning: Arrive at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport. Visit the Ujjayanta Palace, a former royal palace that now serves as a museum showcasing the history and culture of the Northeast.
Afternoon: Visit the Jagannath Temple and the Umbeshwar Temple, located near the palace grounds.
Evening: Head to the Akhaura Check Post (Indo-Bangladesh border) to witness the beating retreat ceremony, similar to the Wagah border but on a smaller, more intimate scale.
Night: Overnight stay in Agartala.

Morning: Depart early for Unakoti (approx. 4 hours). It is a historic Shaiva pilgrimage site featuring massive rock-cut images of Lord Shiva and other deities dating back to the 7th–9th centuries.
Afternoon: Explore the "Lost Hill of Faces" and the beautiful waterfalls surrounding the carvings.
Evening: Return to Agartala. If time permits, stop at the Heritage Park to see miniature replicas of all the major monuments in Tripura.
Night: Overnight stay in Agartala.

Morning: Drive to Neermahal (approx. 1.5 hours), the "Water Palace" situated in the middle of Rudrasagar Lake. Take a boat ride to explore the stunning fusion of Hindu and Muslim architectural styles.
Afternoon: Visit the Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur (one of the 51 Shakti Peethas), often called Matabari.
Evening: Return to Agartala and transfer to the airport for your departure.
Travel Tip: The best time to visit is from October to March. Be sure to try the local Mui Borok (traditional Tripuri cuisine) and shop for exquisite bamboo and cane handicrafts.
